MNRF Charge Four Anglers on Ganaraska River in Port Hope

With the salmon run underway along the Ganaraska River in Port Hope, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) are keeping an eye out along the river.

On Thursday, August 31, 2023, around 7:30 p.m. MNRF officers charged four Toronto men with various offences including three were charged with snagging, two for no fishing licenses and one for open liquor.  Three fishing rods were seized along with 11 salmon.

MNRF officers advise always be aware of the fishing regulations before dropping the line in the water.
