Cobourg Police – Male Arrested for Voyeurism (Name Released)

On August 16th, 2023, Police attended a business in the northwest end of Cobourg regarding reports of a male observed on the CCTV system, taking photos up a female customers skirt with his
cellphone.

On August 20th, 2023, Richard John COOPER, 28 years old of Cobourg was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1) Voyeurism – contrary to section 162(1) of the Criminal Code.

2) Fail to Comply with Probation Order – contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
