Woman Struck by Vehicle in Cobourg During Power Outage

One person was rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Cobourg on Friday, August 18, 2023.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. emergency services were called to the area of Division Street and Kerr Street for a person struck by a vehicle.

Police say a woman was on the roadway just north of the intersection when a southbound SUV struck the person.

At the time of the collision the power was out in the area including intersection lights.

The intersection was closed for approximately two-hours while police investigation.

The woman was taken to hospital and treated for what are believed to be serious, but non-life threatening charges.

The investigation is continuing.
