Quinte West OPP – Campbellford Man Charged with Impaired After Collision (Name Released)

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in an impaired driving investigation.

On August 5, 2023, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Hearns Road, Quinte West. An investigation led to the driver being arrested.

Shane TURNER, 21 years old from Campbellford, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol or drugs
  • Operation while impaired – Blood alco hol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on August 24, 2023. Additionally, the vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their licence was suspended for 90 days.
