Suspect Captured on Video Checking Vehicles

In Police Blotter

A suspect has been captured on video trying vehicle doors in the early morning hours in Cobourg.

At approximately 2 a.m. a suspect can be seen on a security camera going up to a pickup truck on Conger Court, just north of Elgin Street and checking to see if the door is open.  When the suspect finds the door locked, they immediately leave the property.

Cobourg Police recently issued a press release indicating three vehicles were entered overnight earlier this week, but didn’t give a location.

Police recommend residents remove valuables, such as wallets, sunglasses, electronics, tools, change etc., from their vehicles and lock the doors every time they exit.

Police also ask anyone report any suspicious activity or theft from a vehicle by calling 905-372-6821 during business hours.
