Northumberland OPP – Cobourg Man Charged with Fraud Over $5,000 (Name Released)

FRAUD CHARGE LAID IN NORTHUMBERLAND

(HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, ON) A fraud charge has been laid after the OPP responded to an incident involving a business owner that is alleged to have committed fraud.

On July 6, 2023, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information alleging that a business owner that had not completed contractual work as agreed upon at the victim’s residence.

On July 15, 2023, Robert MURDOCH was charged with:

  • Fraud over $5000.

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on September 6, 2023.
