Quinte West OPP – First Bail Hearing Didn’t Work – Maybe The Second One Will (Name Released)

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person in two investigations.

On July 18, 2023, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded to an apartment building on Adrian Court, Quinte West, regarding a trespassing complaint. The involved individual was located and verbally identified himself to the officer. The information provided was found to be false and the investigation led to the person bein g arrested.

James PATRICK, 44 years old, from Trenton has been charged with the following offences:

  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Fail to comply with probation order – Two counts

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.

On July 20, 2023, at approximately 8:00 a.m., officers responded to a business on Dundas Street East, Quinte West, regarding a break and enter complaint. An investigation led to a person being arrested.

James PATRICK, 44 years old, from Trenton has been charged with the following offences:

  • Break and enter
  • Mischief interfere with lawful use of property
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Possession of schedule 1 substance – Methamphetamine

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
