City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Person Charged with Impaired Driving (Name Released)

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired operation investigation after proactively observing driving behaviour.

On June 30, 2023 at approximately 2:06 am, officers on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy 35 and arrested and charged the driver. The vehicle had 4 young passengers and a flat right front tire.

Jonathan Morley, 18 years of age of Lindsay has been charged with

  • Young Driver BAC over Zero – Highway Traffic Act
  • Operation whi le Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80 – Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date.
