Northumberland OPP – Durham Police Officer Charged with Public Mischief

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid a public mischief charge in relation to circumstances surrounding a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on April 29, 2023, in the Port Hope area.

On April 30, 2023, the Northumberland OPP received information regarding the vehicle involved in the collision and initiated an investigation.

On May 18, 2023, as a result of the investigation, Trevor KATHNELSON, 43-years old of Northumberland County has been charged with public mischief and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on June 14, 2023.

Kathnelson is Detective Constable with  the Durham Region Police
