Port Hope Panthers Open Division Final with Overtime Win in Picton

Cole Kimble scored 5:27 into overtime as the Port Hope Panthers opened the Provincial Junior Hockey League Tod Division final with a 2-1 victory over the host Picton Pirates on Thursday night at the Prince Edward Community Centre.

Port Hope led 1-0 after the first period on a power-play goal by Josh Sainthill, assisted by Carter Clarke.

Zack Brooks tied the score for Picton early in the second.

Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is Saturday night in Port Hope with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Jack Burger Sports Complex.
