Fire Causes Extensive Damage to Roseneath Home

There were no injuries after a fire heavily damaged a home in Roseneath on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

Alnwick/Haldimand Township firefighters received the call for smoke coming from a garage located at 11925 on County Road 24 just east of County Road 45 at about 7 p.m.

When fire crews arrived there was heavy smoke coming from the attached garage area of the two-storey home.

The fire spread from the garage and into the walls of the house and into the roof area.

Hamilton Township Fire Department was also called for assistance.

Fire crews were still on scene past midnight making sure all hotspots were out.

The fire is believed to have started in the garage, but there is no word on the cause of the fire or damage estimate.
