Cobourg Police – Woman Charged with Theft (No Name Released)

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, at 8:15 p.m., police were called to a business on King Street West in response to a reported theft in progress. The police investigation determined that an individual had left the store concealing unpaid merchandise, making no attempt to pay.

As a result, a 28-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with the following;

1. Theft Under $5,000.00 Contrary to Section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

2. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00 Contrary to Section 355(b) of Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was released on the strength of an undertaking with a scheduled court date on March 8, 2023
