Cram-A-Cruiser food drive will take place on January 28 in support of Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank.

Cobourg Police Service (CPS) will host the first Cram-A-Cruiser food drive of 2023 to support Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank (Fare Share). The first Cram-A-Cruiser of 2023 is
scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Metro in Cobourg.

In 2022, the CPS Auxiliary unit partnered with Fare Share staff and volunteers to host monthly Cram-A-Cruiser food drive events. The 2022 Cram-A-Cruiser food drives collected 23,360 lbs of food and $23,632 in donations.

Thank you to the businesses involved in the 2022 food drive efforts – Walmart, Metro, No Frills, Foodland, Giant Tiger and Dollarama – and the Fare Share team for their time and effort all year long to feed members of our community. Most of all, thank you to the citizens of our community. Your generosity has helped put food on many of our neighbour’s tables this past year.
All the donations received during Cram-A-Cruiser go directly to Fare Share who distributes the food to those in need across Northumberland County.

Community members are invited to make a non-perishable food donation at Cram-A-Cruiser between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, at Metro (1111 Elgin Street West, Cobourg). If you cannot make it to a Cram-A-Cruiser event, you can donate to Fare Share by visiting fareshare.ca.
