Northumberland OPP – Death Investigation in Port Hope

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are conducting a death investigation after a male was discovered deceased on a roadway in Port Hope.

On January 9, 2023, at 1:44 p.m., the Northumberland OPP received information regarding a male that had been discovered deceased near a vehicle parked on Harris Rd in Port Hope.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit are currently at scene conducting a death investigation and Harris Rd is closed at the 4th Line as a result.

Police are asking any person with infor mation regarding this incident to contact the Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
