Northumberland OPP – Police Respond to Barricaded Person in Campbellford

A person has been taken into custody after they barricaded themselves in a residence in Campbellford for several hours.

Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Emergency Response Team (ERT), and the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) responded to a call for assistance regarding a person who barricaded themselves within a residence in the Town of Campbellford in the Garry St / Oak St / Pellissier St area.

After several hours, police apprehended the person, and they were taken into custody without incident. The investigation is continuing, and the Northumberland OPP wish to thank the public for their patience in the situation.
