Peterborough County OPP – Collision Leads to Impaired Driving Charges (Name Released)

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 7 at approximately 3:30 a.m. on November 5, 2022. The complainant reported that a vehicle left the roadway and struck a hydro pole. The uninjured driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Derek D’ENTREMONT (age 31) of Cavan-Monaghan Township, was arrested and charged with:

• Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus

• Operation while impaired-alcohol

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on December 6, 2022.
