Cobourg’s Winter-Parking Season Begins Next Week

In City Hall

The Town of Cobourg reminds everyone of the winter-parking bylaws that take effect Nov. 1.

These regulations ensure safe and efficient snow removal operations between Nov. 1 and March 31 by keeping collector roads and major arterial roads clear for the safe passage of the machinery.

Parking Regulation Bylaw Number 030-2022 states that no person shall park a vehicle on any designated collector and arterial roads (as well as all roads listed within Schedule P of the bylaw) during the winter parking season (Nov. 1 through March 31) between the hours of 2 and 7 a.m.

The bylaw also forbids parking – at any time – on all cul-de-sacs and wide corners during the designated winter season. For more information, as well as a list of affected cul-de-sacs and wide corners – see Schedule PP of Bylaw Number 030-2022.

As well, during the winter season, there is no parking on Havelock Lane, Balls Lane, Par Lane and Jex’s Lane.

The Town of Cobourg appreciates the efforts of its residents in parking off-street to assist with snow-removal operations. For a full list of designated collector and arterial roads, visit www.cobourg.ca
