Inland Salmon Fishing Just About Done for the Season

In Editor Choice, Local, Police Blotter

The salmon season is shortly coming to an end for inland salmon fishing.

But Conservation Officers with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry are still monitoring area waterways including the Ganaraska River in Port Hope.

On Thursday, September 29, 2022, two Kingston area people were charged with snagging, just north of the Barrett Street bridge along the Ganaraska River.

The Conservation Officers seized the anglers fishing rods and the fish were seized.

September 30, 2022 is the last day for salmon fishing inland.
