Durham Regional Police – Aggravated Assault in Clarington Leaves Male with Serious Injuries

A 37-year-old male is facing serious charges after intentionally running over another male with his vehicle in Clarington.

 

On Saturday, September 3, 2022, at approximately 3:40 a.m., members from East Division were called to the area of Concession Street E and Trudeau Drive.  There they located a male who was laying on the sidewalk suffering from severe life altering injuries.  Investigators were able to quickly determine that the male was intentionally run over by a vehicle after getting into a verbal argument with the suspect.

 

This is an isolated incident, as the two males are known to one another and there is no risk to public safety.   

 

Cory FISHER, age 37 of Clarington, has been charged with: Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Cause Bodily Harm; Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

He was held for a bail hearing.
