Saturns Drives Comes to Olympus Burger in Port Hope

In Community, Local

Over 50 luxurious vehicles stopped by Port Hope on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Shortly before 1 p.m. the vehicles including Lamborghini’s, McLaren’s, and many other exotic cars pulled into Olympus Burger for lunch.

The organizers name is Saturn and each year the group makes their way from Toronto to Port Hope for a leisurely Sunday drive.

Saturns Drives has been taking place for many years and the owner’s don’t seem to mind the attention their vehicles get or the questions people ask.

The most expensive car on the lot was Lamborghini worth upwards of $700,000.

Saturn said there was no one on Sunday that won the lottery. They are all hard working people.

“There is no short cuts. You have to spend your time to do the work. There is not a quick, easy way to make a buck. You literally have to work your ass off. With that you kind of enjoy the fruits of your labour and able to buy some of these toys once in a while.

For the owners of the vehicles, it’s not about bragging or boasting what they own, “it’s more I did my time, 20-years, 15-years, whatever the case may be. I earned pretty good money and then I enjoy a little bit by buying something exotic.”

A driver from Brampton who owned of a 2018 McLaren 720S worth approximately $360,000 said he loves coming to Port Hope each year.

“It’s beautiful. The people the scenery – everything about it. It’s great.”

The owner advises the secret to success – “stay in school and work hard,” and a bit of luck.
