Peterborough County OPP – Fatal Collision on the 10th Line

(DOURO-DUMMER TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision on the 10th Line that occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. this evening.

A vehicle with two occupants was located in the ditch. The driver was pronounced deceased at scene. The passenger was transported to a local hospital by paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 10th Line is currently closed between Webster Road and Dummer-Asphodel Road while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene. The road closure will remain in place for several hours. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage and has not yet spoken with police is asked to contact the Peterborough County OPP Detachment at 705-742-0401 or 1-888-310-1122.
