No Injuries After Transport Goes Down Steep Embankment on Highway 401 at Brighton

There were no injuries following a two vehicle collision on Highway 401 at Brighton on Monday, August 8, 2022.

Shortly after 3 p.m. emergency services were dispatched to the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 just west of Brighton.

A tractor trailer and vehicle collided on Highway 401. The tractor trailer, went into the ditch, and over the off-ramp to Brighton before colliding with a metal guardrail and going down a steep embankment.

The driver of the transport truck along with the driver and passenger in the vehicle were not injured in the collision.

The driver of the transport was charged with careless driving.
