Storm the Beach Comes to Cobourg

In Local, Sports

Storm The Beach, presented by Durham Ultimate Club took place on Victoria Beach in Cobourg on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

A total of 16 teams from Kingston to Hamilton took part in the event which resembles frisbee football, but is somewhat different.

There is no running with the disc, it’s all passes and you win points by getting to the end zone.

If you don’t complete the pass, the opponent gets possession of the disc.

The playing field is 75-metres long and it’s a timed event.

All proceeds go to Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank.

Tournament Director, Derek Marcotte said, it’s a great event for Cobourg and Fare Share in the 16-years it’s been running.

Approximately $25,000 has been raised over the years.
