In City Hall, News

On Friday, July 22, 2022, with support from his wife Becky, son David and friends Doug LeBlanc is running for Mayor.

Doug LeBlanc has announced today that he has registered to run for Mayor of Brighton.

In a press release by his campaign, it stated since being elected in 2018, LeBlanc has been a councillor who gets things done for the residents of Brighton. He has provided a strong voice of reason at the council table. LeBlanc has dedicated his time to helping residents by expanding accessibility in town, from sidewalk repairs to road repairs, working with councillors like Mark Bateman to increase broadband for our rural neighbours and save the municipality millions of dollars over his term in council.

With over 30 years of successful experience in business and as a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces, the release stated LeBlanc knows that dedicated service to others is crucial to leading Brighton forward.

Adding LeBlanc has proven he is up to the challenge the release stated.

“With the rising cost of living and the need for shovel-ready infrastructure projects in Brighton. it’s imperative to have a leader with the experience to provide financial stability and improve the services residents need.”
