Cobourg Police – Investigation After Person Suffers Serious Injuries

Cobourg Police Service (CPS) is investigating the circumstances of an incident that occurred on Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 3:30 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Walton Street at King Street East. Officers located a person suffering from serious injuries. The individual was transported to the hospital by ambulance to receive treatment for their injuries. The circumstances of how the individual sustained the injuries are unknown.

Uniformed officers and Forensic Identification Services attended the scene, and special constables canvassed the area for witnesses and surveillance video footage.

Anyone with information or video surveillance footage of Walton Street at King Street East in Cobourg is asked to contact police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or online at www.stopcrimehere.ca. Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
