Cyclist Collides with SUV in Cobourg

A cyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries after colliding with a car in Cobourg on Saturday, July 2, 2022.

At approximately 8 p.m. emergency services were notified of a cyclist who had been struck at the intersection of Elgin and Division Streets.

A SUV was heading westbound on Elgin Street and turning northbound on Division Street when it was struck by the bicycle which was travelling on the sidewalk when it entered the intersection.

The force of the impact threw the bicycle over the hood of the vehicle.

The rider was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police are still investigating.
