Durham Region Police – Double Fatality in Uxbridge Involving an Off-Road Motorcycle

Two males are deceased as a result of a collision involving an off-road motorcycle and car, occurring on Highway 47 west in the Town of Uxbridge.

 

On Saturday, June 11, 2022, at approximately 11:05 pm officers from the North Division were called to a serious collision that occurred on Highway 47 near Parratt Road. At this time, an off-road motorcycle was travelling east on Highway 47 when it struck a westbound silver Acura sedan in a head-on collision. Both the rider and passenger were deceased at the collision scene. The driver and lone occupant in the Acura sedan was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.

 

Anyone with information about this incident or witnessed this collision is asked to call Detective Constable Bill Scott of the Traffic Services Branch at 905-579-1520 (toll free 1-888-579-1520) ext. 5217. Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
