The EV Society-Northumberland Chapter and Sustainable Cobourg are organizing a free EV & Sustainability Event to be held on Sat May 28th from 10am to 4pm along the north side of the parking lot of Northumberland Mall, between the main driveway (Boston Pizza) and LCBO

A number (8-10) of electric vehicles (EVs) will be on display by owners and local dealers. Four vehicles will be available for test drives from Plug’n Drive https://www.plugndrive.ca/ .

Several sustainable organizations have been invited to provide displays and/or presentations, including Sustainable Cobourg, Port Hope For Future, Save Our Trees Pt. Hope, Blue Dot, Ganaraska Conservation Authority, Council of Canadians and Lakefront Utilities.

Also invited are representatives from the Federal and Provincial Governments and candidates, Northumberland County and Town of Cobourg Council.

The focus of the event is how electrification of the transportation system and other sustainable activities can help reduce our impact on climate change.
