The 14th Annual Port Hope Firefighters Hockey Tournament Kicks Off at the Jack Burger Sports Complex

The 14th annual Port Hope Firefighters Hockey Tournament kicked off at the Jack Burger Sports Complex on Friday, April 22, 2022.

The tournament features a number of teams of firefighters from across the area along with Northumberland County Paramedics.

Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services Administrative, Kim Sherman retired on Friday, but started the tournament with the official puck drop between the Port Hope Firefighters and Northumberland County Paramedics.

Northumberland County Paramedics beat the Port Hope Firefighters 8-3. The tournament ends Saturday afternoon.

Funds raised from the tournament go towards charities, Port Hope Firefighters Association suppers,  and the associations antique fire truck.
