Replacement of Downtown Heritage Streetlight Fixtures and Poles in Cobourg

In City Hall, Local

The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents that a contractor will commence the work of replacing downtown heritage streetlight fixtures and poles beginning on Monday, March 28, 2022.

The project will involve full removal of the existing poles and streetlights, replacing them with new poles and LED streetlights.

The work is estimated to take six to eight weeks, depending on the weather. The contractor plans to replace about four to five poles and streetlights per day.

Approximately six parking spaces may be occupied at a time during this work, however sidewalks will remain open.

Please see the attached map showing the poles and streetlights, in red, that will be replaced.
