Northumberland OPP Investigating Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision Trent Hills

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that has County Rd 35 between Godolphin Rd and Woodview Rd closed for investigation.

On Friday February 18, 2022 at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Northumberland OPP received reports of a head on motor vehicle collision that occurred on County Rd 35 between Godolphin Rd and Woodview Rd in the Municipality of Trent Hills. The collision involved a pickup truck and a car. As a result of the collision, the two occupants in the car were transported to hospital where the passenger was pronounced deceased and the driver remains in critical condition with life threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

County Rd 35 between Godolphin Rd and Woodview Rd will remain closed for several hours while investigators conduct their investigation.
