At approximately 11:30 p.m. Cobourg Fire Department and Hamilton Township Fire Department were dispatched to the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 for a flatbed trailer on fire.

Several callers to 9-1-1 indicated the wheels of the flatbed trailer were on fire and the driver was separating the cab from the trailer.
