City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Shooting Investigation

On January 30, 2022 at 9:59pm Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a Lindsay Street North residence for a disturbance call. A second caller reported there had been a shooting. Police attended and located a gunshot victim who was transport to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Video surveillance at the location has been reviewed, police have identified a number of individuals involved in the incident and have recovered the vehicle which transported suspects away from the location. It is believed the individuals involved are known to each other. There is no threat to public safety.

The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch has taken over the investigation. A search warrant was conducted, with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Unit. Video surveillance footage and physical evidence has been seized from the scene.
