Coldwell Banker R.M.R. Real Estate broker from Cobourg, Ontario receives national recognition for his Ride With Heart cross-country charity fundraiser
Coldwell Banker Canada, a leader in Canadian real estate, has announced the recipient of its prestigious Canadian Ambassador Award for 2022. The award honours the individual who proactively ventures forth to best exemplify the values and beliefs of the Coldwell Banker global brand in Canada. The recipient of the award for 2022 is Sam Miron, of the Cobourg office of Coldwell Banker R.M.R. Real Estate, a multi-office brokerage, headquartered in Whitby, Ontario.
Honoring his mother and mother-in-law who had both passed away due to heart related issues, Sam Miron initiated a fundraising motorcycle drive called The Ride With Heart. His road trip started on the Pacific Coast in Vancouver, BC and ran to Cobourg on the shore of Lake Ontario.
There were many challenges along the way, including a motorcycle that wasn’t shipped. Miron even had to cross the entire province of Manitoba in just one day, in order to avoid COVID quarantine restrictions.
Sam’s solo journey of almost 5,000 kilometers raised awareness of the Heart and Stroke foundation and earned donations from sponsors along the route. Sam’s goal was to raise $5,000, about $1 per every kilometer of his journey, a goal that was surpassed with over $8,000 in donations received to date. All donations went directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

His inspiring Ride With Heart has helped raise awareness of a very worthy cause,” said Karim Kennedy, CEO of Coldwell Banker Canada. Kennedy and business partner, Steve Houle took ownership of Coldwell Banker Canada in October, when the national operation became a 100% Canadian owned Master Franchise.

As the recipient of the Canadian Ambassador Award for 2022, Miron will be presented with a commemorative trophy, and will be showcased at a national Coldwell Banker Canada event to be scheduled in the coming year.
