Cobourg Police – Cobourg Fire Department Employee Charged with Theft

On Friday, December 10, 2021, Cobourg Police Service opened an investigation when they were made aware of an incident involving a Cobourg Fire Department staff member.

The incident took place at a business in the northeast end of Cobourg on September 15, 2021.

As a result of the police investigation, Bryan BLAIND, a 51-year-old man of Baltimore, was charged with the following:

• Theft Under $5,000, contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code

• Mischief Under $5,000 contrary to section 430(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

Blaind was released on an undertaking with a future court date on January 15, 2022, at 9 a.m. 2022.
