Hamilton Township Man Facing Several Charges After Loaded Firearm Found in Vehicle

A 34-year-old Hamilton Township man is facing several charges after Port Hope Police seized a loaded firearm from a vehicle on Monday, November 22, 2021.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. Port Hope Police observed a white four-door BMW with hazard lights on in the parking lot of McDonald’s on Rose Glen Road.

Upon further inspection officers noticed a man behind in the driver’s seat slumped over, with the vehicle running.

Offices noticed a drug paraphernalia on the seat.

Upon further investigation police located a 12-gauge shotgun, a black replica Glock BB gun, a collapsible gun rifle, scales, drug paraphernalia, debt list and black ski mask along with 19 grams of cocaine.

Thirty-four-year-old Ryan Webb is facing charges of transport firearm in a careless manner, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of firearm with no trigger lock, occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carry concealed weapon, CDSA possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Webb was held for a bail hearing.
