Cobourg Police – Woman Charged with Theft from Vehicle

A woman has been charged with theft after a resident called police about a person entering a vehicle in Cobourg’s south end.

On November 14, 2021, at approximately 7:00 am, police received a report of a person entering a vehicle near Bay Street and Green Street in Cobourg. Police located a woman in the area who was found in possession of property taken from the vehicle.

As a result of the police investigation, 34-year-old Lindsey Turland of Cobourg is charged with the following
offences:

1. Theft under $5000 contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code

2. Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
