Quinte West OPP – Driver Charged After Multiple Complaints to 911

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver following multiple driving complaints.

On October 28, 2021, at approximately 10:54 a.m., Quinte West OPP were requested by Lennox and Addington (L&A) OPP to be on the lookout for a white SUV that may be traveling westbound on the 401 H wy. The vehicle was reported to have been all over the road in the area of Palace Road in Napanee, allegedly driving onto sidewalks and into oncoming traffic. Quinte West officers located the vehicle on the 401, west of Glen Miller Road and conducted a rolling block to stop the vehicle. After observing signs of impairment, officers arrested the accused for impaired driving and brought them to a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) for testing.

Kathleen SIRE, 41 years old of Innisfil was charged with operation while impaired and dangerous operation.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on November 25, 2021. Additionally, their license was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for seven (7) days.
