Dog Treated for Smoke Inhalation After Firefighters Respond to Possible Structure Fire

Cobourg firefighters responded to a unit in a apartment on College Street in Cobourg for reports of a structure fire shortly after 10 pm. on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

Smoke was coming from the unit and the smoke alarm was going off.

Firefighters had to gain entry to the apartment and found the oven was left on. The residents arrived a short time later.

The apartment was cleared of smoke and there was no damage.

As a precaution firefighters treated the dog for smoke inhalation.
