City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Investigate Death in Fenelon Township

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue to investigate the death of a youth in Fenelon Township.

On October 6, 2021, at approximately 9:38 a.m., City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, along with emergency services, responded to a residence in Fenelon Township. A 15-year-old male was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The cause of death remains under investigation.

Police advise there is no immediate threat to the general public.

The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch and with assistance of the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario. 

The identity of the deceased will be withheld at this time.
