Skateboarder Struck by Truck on County Road 28 at Bewdley

A teenager was struck by a truck early Tuesday morning while skateboarding on County Road 28 at Bewdley.

Emergency services responded to he collision at approximately 4:40 a.m. to the collision between Dieppe Road and Boundary Road on County Road 28.

It’s believed a teenager was struck on the passenger side of the truck which was heading north.

The skateboard was broken into several pieces from the impact.

The teenager was rushed to hospital, but there is no word on his injuries which are believed to be serious.

OPP Traffic Collision Investigators examined the scene with the road expecting to be re-opened around 2 p.m.
