Free Tickets Still Available, Contest for Readers of Today’s Northumberland

Northumberland Pro Wrestling returns to the Cobourg Community Centre on Saturday, November 13, with a free admission event. Bell time is 7 pm, doors open at 5:30 pm. Fans can expect to see ten matches, making this the largest professional wrestling event on record in Cobourg history. COVID protocols will be in place, and can be found on the Northumberland Pro Wrestling Facebook page.

Wrestlers appearing on the event include some of Ontario’s best professional wrestlers, including “Saturday Night Delight” Tyler Tirva, “Relentless” John Atlas, Anti-Hero SOS, Alessandro Del Bruno, Port Hope’s native son Vaughn Vertigo (who will bring along his Fight or Flight tag team partner), and Impact Wrestling star Cody Deaner.

Why free admission? Northumberland Pro Wrestling will be collecting food and money donations for the food bank at the event.

“Our goal was to make this event something that would benefit everybody hurt by the pandemic,” says promoter Derek Sharp. “Free admission benefits our fans; collecting donations benefits the community as a whole; and our outstanding sponsorship packages benefit local businesses. This event really is a win-win-win.”

Sponsorship packages start at just $5.00, which gets a business card placed on every seat at the event.

Tickets were made available through the Northumberland Pro Wrestling Facebook page at www.facebook.com/NorthumberlandPro/ on September 1, and are already more than 60% gone.

Tickets are also available for the Boston Pizza VIP Event at 4:00 pm on November 13. These tickets are $15 each, and ticket holder benefits include early choice of seats, witnessing the unveiling of Northumberland Pro Wrestling’s championship belts that will be awarded to the inaugural champions in January, a chance to get your photo taken in the ring with the wrestler of your choice and holding the championship of your choice, a special bonus match, the opportunity to buy a 2022 Season Pass which will include more than 12 events for $60.00, and a door prize raffle exclusive to Boston Pizza VIP ticket holders.

Readers of Today’s Northumberland can enter a contest to win up to four tickets to the Boston Pizza VIP Event. Simply claim your tickets by clicking “Learn More” on the Northumberland Pro Wrestling Facebook page, and then email with subject line “CONTEST: TODAY’S NORTHUMBERLAND” to northumberlandpro@gmail.com.
