Kilometers for Kids is Uniting Northumberland County Through a Virtual Event

In Upcoming Events

Rebound Child & Youth Services Northumberland (Rebound) is announcing its 7th annual Kilometers for Kids (K4K) walk, run, and hike, in support of child and youth mental and emotional wellness. Like last year, Kilometers for Kids will unite Northumberland County through a virtual week-long event from October 17-23, 2021.

Rebound has made the decision to host its Kilometers for Kids fundraising walk/run/hike virtually for a second year in a row to ensure everyone’s safety.  The community will have a full week, from October 17-23, 2021 to complete their 5K or 10K walk, run, or hike. Alternatively, they could choose their own personal K4K challenge, such as dancing, skipping rope, cycling or climbing.

Rebound is encouraging participants to take photos of their creative challenge and share it online using the hashtag #K4KVirtual2021 so Northumberland can build mental and emotional wellness together!

“Kilometers for Kids is a fun annual event that is loved by many in Northumberland County,” said Carol Beauchamp, Executive Director at Rebound. “We’re looking forward to bringing our community together for another year and raising much-needed funds for our mental health programs and services.”

This virtual event is scheduled to take place from October 17-23, 2021, and participants can join the fun any time during that week to support mental and emotional wellness in our community.  Registration fees are $30 for adults and $20 for students and seniors. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges and fundraise for Rebound’s mental health programs and services for children and youth. If each participant raises $75 Rebound’s fundraising goal of $15,000 will be met! With the help of generous community members, participants, and valued sponsors and donors, this goal is very attainable!
