Cobourg Police – Person Charged After Individual Threatened with Knife

A man is charged with uttering threats and possession of a weapon after police respond to an individual being
threatened with a knife.


On Sunday, August 29, 2021, police were dispatched to the Cobourg harbourfront area in response to a report
of a person being threatened with a knife.


As a result of police investigation, Zane GRAY, a 26-year-old man from the Town of Cobourg, was arrested and
charged with the following offences:

Uttering Threats – contrary to section 264.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose – contrary to section 88 of the Criminal Code of
Canada

GRAY was released from custody on an undertaking with a future court date.
