SIU Investigating Police Vehicle, Motorcycle Crash in Clarington

The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating a collision involving a Durham Regional Police Service vehicle and motorcycle that resulted in serious injuries this evening in Clarington.
Preliminary information suggests the following:

  • At approximately 6:45 p.m. on August 15, 2021, an officer in a police vehicle was involved in a collision with a motorcycle at the intersection of Green Road and Nash Road.
  • A man, who was operating the motorcycle, and a female passenger were transported to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries.

The SIU is urging anyone who may have information about this investigation to contact the lead investigator at 1-800-787-8529. The Unit is also urging anyone who may have any video evidence related to this incident to upload that video through the SIU website.
