Update – Pedestrian Struck in Cobourg on Friday Night

A woman suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a van on Friday, July 23, 2021.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. emergency services responded to Division Street between Buck and Chapel Streets for a woman who was struck by a taxi.

It appears the taxi was travelling southbound on Division Street when the collision took place.

The woman was rushed to hospital in Cobourg.

Police closed the road in the area of the collision for investigation until approximately 11:45 p.m. when the road was re-opened.

It’s believed the woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the taxi was shaken, but uninjured.

The investigation is continuing.
