(NORTH KAWARTHA TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Highway 28 at approximately 9:30pm on July 9, 2021. The vehicle was observed to have suffered major front end damage after colliding with a deer. The driver was uninjured but was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Wilfrid ANGERMANN (age 58) of North Kawartha Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
• Operation while impaired-alcohol
• Failure or refusal to comply with demand
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 17, 2021.
(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT LAKES, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Edwina Drive at approximately 6:30am on July 10, 2021. The vehicle lost control and entered the ditch. The uninjured driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Carl CLARK (age 24) of Uxbridge, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
• Operation while impaired-alcohol
• Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus
• Driving while under suspension
• Class G1 licence holder-unaccompanied by qualified driver
• Novice driver-B.A.C. above zero
• Take motor vehicle without consent
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 17, 2021.
(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT LAKES, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bass Lake Road at approximately 5:30pm yesterday afternoon. The complainant reported that a vehicle had left the roadway and entered the ditch. The uninjured driver was located at a nearby residence and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Jestine CARDWELL (age 52) of Municipality of Trent Lakes, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
• Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus
• Fail to remain
• Fail to report accident
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 17, 2021.
