Cobourg Street Finds A Way to Celebrate Graduates

In Community, Local

One street in Cobourg found a special way to celebrate children graduating on Monday, June 28, 2021.

Five grade-eight graduates and three grade-twelve graduates paraded down the street starting at 5:30 p.m.

Parents organized the event and a red carpet was held down with hockey pucks.

One by one the students names were called over speakers that echoed down the street.

The students then walked down the streets while family, friends and neighbours socially distanced on their lawn cheering on the graduates with applause and noisemakers.

After the graduates enjoyed cake and personalized t-shirts for each one.
