Update – Northumberland OPP – Investigating Serious Motor Vehicle Collision

(HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Sunday June 20, 2021 at approximately 2:42 p.m. officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a serious single vehicle collision on County Rd 9 near Reyns Rd in Hamilton Township.

The collision involved a single motor vehicle that left the roadway. Four occupants in the vehicle suffered injuries as a result of the collision. One of the occupants suffered life threatening injuries and was air-lifted by Ornge for medical treatment.

A section of County Rd 9 from County Rd 18 to Corkery Rd remained closed for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) conducted an investigation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
