Cobourg Police – Woman Arrested for Assault

Woman arrested for assault after police are called to a local business.

On the evening of Friday, June 11, 2021, police were dispatched to attend a business in the north end of
Cobourg after a staff member reported being attacked. Police arrived to find the victim had suffered minor
injuries and the suspect to have fled the scene. The suspect was identified and soon after arrested and
charged with:

Assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date. The identity of the
accused is being withheld to ensure privacy for the victim.
